Year of the Snake Print

The year of the snake is a year for embracing growth, reflection and change. I created this design while thinking about how I want us all to be safe and protected as we meet the things that change us and allow that growth. The snake is encircled by daggers protecting it while it engages in its meditation on change symbolized by the necklace of carved skulls. 
This is a 3 color risograph print, printed in an edition of 50 on heavy weight cream paper and hand signed and numbered. Risograph is both an environmentally friendly printing method and a printing technique which produces a beautifully soft and organic image as each color is printed separately creating slight variations in the register.
